The main goal of the CHARGE project is to improve the intermodal services on existing maritime connections between the two shores of the Adriatic Sea, between Italy and Croatia, in order to increase the efficiency of the freight traffic flows and the environmental sustainability and solve the critical issues related to the bottlenecks in the Adriatic Ionian macroregion through the elaboration of an action plan for the development of a joint planning policy of infrastructural investments for intermodal transport for Italy and Croatia. The Lead partner of the project is RAM Logistica Infrastrutture e Trasporti Spa and the partners are the System Port Authorities of the Northern (Venice), Central (Ancona) and Southern (Bari) Adriatic Sea, the ports of Ploce and Split, KIP (Intermodal Transport Cluster) and the Croatian Ministry of Sea, Transport and Infrastructures.
